Our client, a leading facility management organization, is seeking an Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the overall functionality of facility systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Operating Engineer

Location: Ashburn, VA

What's the Job?

• Perform maintenance and monitor repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility.
• Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, and inventory control.
• Conduct cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment.
• Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Comply with safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe workplace.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a building operating engineer working in a high pressure steam plant and 1200 ton centrifugal chiller plant. 
• Should have a working knowledge of building automation, system controls, fire suppression systems, and fire alarm notification systems. 
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• EPA 608 Type II Certification.
