Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Liability Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic legal team in the Kansas City area. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in general liability litigation, with a focus on auto and premises liability cases. This position offers potential flexibility for remote work, depending on the needs of the client and the firm.
Responsibilities:
Manage a diverse caseload involving general liability matters, primarily focusing on auto accidents and premises liability claims.
Provide legal counsel to clients on various aspects of liability litigation.
Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
Conduct legal research and provide well-reasoned recommendations.
Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials.
Negotiate settlements and maintain client relations.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
3-5 years of experience in general liability litigation, with a focus on auto and premises liability.
Active membership in the Kansas and Missouri State Bars (or ability to obtain both licenses).
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple matters effectively.
Experience in handling all phases of litigation from inception to resolution.
