Position Summary: $5,000 sign-on bonus (conditions apply) Organizational Structure/Reporting Relationships: T his position reports directly to the Nurse Supervisor and is a member of the Medical team. This position has no direct reports

Job Responsibilities - Provide on-site nursing services for the members of the Chief Seattle Club Day Center and housing units as assigned.
- Build and maintain trust via professional relationships with members, staff and collaborating agencies.
- Promote and model healthy behaviors, goal setting, self-care, and appropriate access to medical care.
- Nursing care may include basic wound care, patient assessment, connection with resources, scheduling appointments, counseling, responding to medical emergencies, etc.
- Consult with patients' preferred providers, case managers, family, and other supports as needed. Ensure release of information disclosure consent is collected as required.
- Refer members to facilities that can provide the appropriate level of care. e.g., medical clinic, treatment, case management, dental, emergency room.
- Maintain sanitary, well-stocked, safe, and secure environment in and around the nurse unit.
- Order and arrange for transport of nursing supplies for the nurse unit. Monitor medical supplies for expiration dates and replace as needed.
- Attend SIHB and community partner meetings as needed.
- Organize and present or coordinate outside experts to provide regular health topics for members and/or staff. Topics should be pertinent to the population.
- Actively participate in internal quality improvement teams and work with members proactively to drive quality improvement initiatives in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the SIHB organization, partner organizations, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards, when assigned.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Background Qualifications Required: - State of Washington License as an RN or LPN
- Driver's license and use of an insured vehicle.
Preferred: Experience or interest in working with the American Indian/Alaska Native population; knowledge of the health and social issues facing this demographic is preferred.
Work Environment: SIHB operates on a 4x10 (4 days per week, 10 hours per day) work schedule with occasional extra hours for events Saturday clinic to meet deadlines.
