Performs desktop support for all library computer hardware and software in a Microsoft Windows enterprise environment, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and resolving customer issues. Performs a full range of technical work related to deploying and supporting a public printing service environment. Creates PC/laptop images for deployment on new and existing hardware. Supports, installs, and troubleshoots Microsoft Office. Completes problem tickets as assigned for software/hardware issues. Writes documentation/training manuals for job functions. Operates County vehicle and drives to any of the 18 branches located throughout Palm Beach County.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of one (1) year of experience in support of micro and mini - computer hardware and software.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Installing and troubleshooting computer software and hardware; supporting SirsiDynix Symphony ILS system; troubleshooting and supporting EnvisionWare/Princh printing software; supporting Faronics Deep Freeze and/or Deploy. Also desirable: A+, Network+ or Security+ certifications (copy of certifications must be uploaded to online application).
Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.
