Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review contract drawings pertaining to inspections
  • Attend inspections of new construction
  • Will travel to main airports surrounding New York City

 

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in designing, installing, constructing, and inspecting various types of Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and Plumbing elements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Engineering
  • Knowledge of Construction Codes for New Jersey, New York City, and New York State
  • Knowledge of related reference standards (such as ADA Standards)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Ability to obtain following security clearances: SWAC, TWIC, and SIDA
  • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30) required
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Organizational skills to prioritize inspection assignments and preparation of reports
  • Valid Driver’s License required
