Job Title: Controller

Location: Jacksonville Beach, FL (on-site, local candidates only)

SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our company's day-to-day financial processes and reports with a strong emphasis on accounts payable, operating expenses, inventory controls, and payroll processes. This position also manages financial information and metrics across the organization working closely with product development, inventory, marketing, planning, and operations. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Present financial reports to senior management, providing insights into key financial metrics and trends
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans
• Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing recommendations for corrective action
• Manage and optimize cash flow to support daily operations and strategic initiatives
• Ensure robust internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets
• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
• Supervise and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture
• Provide guidance and training to team members, promoting professional development
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decision-making
• Evaluate the financial impact of various business initiatives and provide strategic recommendations

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Controller, Financial Manager, or similar role in e-commerce retail or related industry
• Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations
• Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., Quickbooks and/or ERP system) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
