Our law firm is now in search of a skilled Family Law Attorney to join our highly-regarded team. This exciting opportunity enables the successful candidate to benefit from the guidance and expertise of the firm's experienced members. Day-to-day duties will include providing legal counsel to clients, carrying out legal research, devising and drafting documents, and ensuring all client files are up to date. Please note that only candidates with Georgia Family Law experience that are barred in the state of Georgia are being considered at this time. $105,000 - $135,000 plus bonuses

• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of other attorneys
• Enjoys working for and with people of diverse, ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds.
• Conduct client case assessments
• Supervise paralegal staff
• Create and/or edit legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
• Learn and follow firm policies and procedures
• Meet monthly billable hour requirements
• Representing clients in court appearances
• Collaborate with clients, senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently
• Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
• Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys

• Must have a Georgia bar license in good standing
• At least 3 years of family law experience required
• Probate experience is a plus
• Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills are required in order to work with clients, staff members, and other attorneys
• Ability to work through a case from open to close
• Strives for excellence
• Ability to be empathetic, compassionate, but tenacious
• Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills are needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
• Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
• Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
• Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam
