Job Description

The forklift operator will load/unload trucks, moving stock, components, finished goods to facilitate the manufacture and shipment of products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Stock production lines with correct components to facilitate efficient and continuous production.
• Replenish production line components.
• Load unload in and outbound freight trucks, delivery trucks, UPS, etc.
• Move components, stock, and finished goods from production lines to appropriate stock locations in warehouse.
• Perform routine spot check of forklift prior to daily operation.
• Complete daily stock accurately log prior to end of shift.
• Work in other areas and departments as determined by management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Operate forklift truck in a safe manner observing all company rules.
• Ability to operate standard forklift truck, standup lift truck, powered hand lift truck and manual hand lift truck.
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Ability to lift frequently up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year experience operating a forklift.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear and stand on concrete for 8-10 hours each day. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and the ability to focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employee experiences constant interruptions and inflexible deadlines.The noise-level in this environment is quiet to moderate.Duties are performed indoors. No cell phones are allowed on the production floor.

Shift / Pay: 1st Shift hours 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Paid weekly.
