Job Description: We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Mining Operations and Asset Management Process Consultants to join our team. As subject matter experts, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support in process design and optimization. You will collaborate with clients to develop key processes within the asset management and mining operations scopes. The role will also identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to enhance maintenance practices, reliability, and safety within the mining industry.

Professional Skill Requirements:

  • Change Management: Demonstrated expertise in change management principles and methodologies to drive successful organizational change initiatives.
  • Consulting Experience: Preferably, prior experience in a consulting role, either externally or internally, enabling you to effectively advise clients on change management, mining operations and maintenance system improvements.
  • First Principles Thinking: Ability to analyze complex problems from a foundational perspective, applying critical thinking and innovative approaches to develop sustainable solutions.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to evaluate processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose practical improvements.
  • Process Thinking and Design: Proficient in process thinking and designing effective processes to optimize asset management and mining operations and enhance overall productivity.

Technical Requirements:

  • Mining Professional: In-depth understanding of mining operations, including underground mining, to effectively comprehend the unique challenges and requirements of the industry.
  • Asset Management Professional: Comprehensive knowledge of asset management principles, practices, and best practices to ensure optimal utilization and longevity of mining assets.
  • Maintenance Reliability Best Practices: Good understanding of maintenance reliability best practices and their application in the mining sector to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.
  • Maintenance Practices: Solid knowledge of maintenance practices, including maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution, to evaluate and improve existing systems.
  • Maintenance Operating Systems: Extensive experience in setting up maintenance operating systems, including maintenance management software, to streamline maintenance processes and ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Mining Practices: Solid knowledge of mining practices, including planning, scheduling and execution to develop leading practice processes, evaluation and improvement of existing processes
  • Mining Operating systems: Extensive experience in setting up mining operations operating systems.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret data to support assessments and relate findings to maintenance system enhancements.
  • Assessment Preparation and Conducting: Proven experience in preparing and conducting assessments and diagnostics of maintenance systems, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending actionable solutions.
  • Safety Assessments (Preferred): Familiarity with conducting assessments on safety aspects within maintenance systems, identifying potential hazards, and proposing safety enhancements.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Proficient in root cause analysis practices to identify the underlying causes of maintenance issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Report Writing: Excellent written communication skills to translate assessment results into concise and coherent reports for clients.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to Travel: The candidate must be open to traveling for this assignment, as it may involve on-site visits and collaboration with clients at various locations.
