We Fairview Health Services are looking for a new employee in Patient Registration at the Fairview Clinic in Bloomington! This position is approved for 66 hours every two weeks and is benefit eligible! We believe the schedule for this position will be:

Week one- Monday - Off, Tuesday/Wednesday 730-6, Tgursday- Off, Friday 1030-7, Saturday 2-8, Sunday 9-2

Week Two- Monday 9-730, Tuesday 730-3, Wednesday/Thursday - Off, Friday 1030-7, Saturday/Sunday- Off

Week One- Monday/Tuesday 230-730, Wednesday 1130-730, Thursday 230-730, Friday 1130-8, Saturday/Sunday Off

Week Two- Monday/ Tuesday 3-8, Wednesday Off, Thursday 1-5, Friday, Off, Saturday 9-8, Sunday 930-8

Responsibilities Job Description

Our Patient Registration crew greets and welcomes patients into the clinic. The verify, register and schedule patients with accurately and efficiently. This includes verifying insurance and demographic information. This team also reviews and maintains patient accounts, secures financial arrangements on self-pay balances prior to and during patient appointments, and researches and facilitates patients questions and concerns.
  • Verifies patient insurance coverage, eligibility, contract group number, effective dates and coverage, accurate insurance, and billing address.
  • Advises patients of insurance coverage co pays or self-pay policy and documents in patient account for front desk staff.
  • Monitors patient balances on patient accounts and alerts patients of outstanding balances to ensure appropriate financial arrangements.
  • Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements.
  • Answers in-coming calls from patients or internal team members to assist with patient care when the need arises
  • Schedules appointments for patients with specified clinician according to scheduling guidelines and availability actively trying to accommodate all involved

Qualifications

Preferred
  • Completion of medical terminology course or equivalent experience and education preferred.
