Outpatient specialty clinic is seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist to join their growing team

Position: Prior Authorization Specialist
Location: Cary, NC
Hours: M-F; 8a-5p
Pay: depends on experience but ranges $17-19/hr

Job Description: To be able to perform a variety of tasks related to determining if a patient's insurance will cover a particular service, procedure, or medication.

-Verifying insurance
-Assessing eligibility
-Communicating with insurance company
-Tracking progress
-Contract referring physicians
-Document through EMR software- ECW

Requirements:
-High school diploma
-Minimum of 2 years of experience performing prior authorizations for a specialty clinic including procedures and medications
-Positive references from 2 clinical supervisors and 1 co-worker

Job Type: Full-time
