EXCITING OPPORTUNITY for a Full-time Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join a fast-paced, rapidly growing, newly established Ambulatory Surgery Center located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ! Owned and operated by one of New Jersey's top Pain Management Surgeons. We currently specialize in pain management and expanding to multi-specialty services soon. We are looking for experienced, dependable, trustworthy, organized individuals who want to be part of a dynamic, modern & innovative team that is empathetic & attentive to patients’ needs and provides high quality care. Individuals should be a graduate of an accredited Sterile Processing Technician program and hold a current Sterile Processing Technician certificate. Competitive pay with benefits offered. We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sterilizing, cleaning, assembling, and packaging medical supplies and equipment to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
**Responsibilities:**
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment following established protocols.
- Assemble instrument sets and trays accurately for surgical procedures.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and sonic cleaners.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and biological testing results.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies.
**Skills:**
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in sterile processing techniques and aseptic practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
